What's In My Holiday Make Up Bag?

So as I'm going on holiday this week I have already decided what I'm packing. Now as a girl I will admit that I over pack to an extreme as I would rather have to much with me than be on holiday and think 'Ah I wish I had that with me' and there are no exceptions when it comes to whats in my makeup bag. So I have whittled it down and this is what I have decided to take...

  • MAC studio fix fluid in NC15 & NW15
  • MAC select sheer pressed powder in NC15
  • Benefits Porefessional primer
  • Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion in EDEN
  • FCUK jumbo eye pencil
  • No7 eyeshadow in wheatsheaf
  • Chanel Soleil tan de Chanel
  • NARS laguna bronzer
  •  SBC concealers in natural, purple and green
  • MAC blusher in plum foolery
  • Body Shop eyeshadow in 16
  • MAC paint pot in painterly
  • Urban Decay Naked 2 palette
  • Beauty Uk eyeshadow palette in 4
  • Carmex
  • Topshop lipstick in brighton rock
  • Unknown eyebrow pencil
  • Rimmel sexy curves mascara
  • L'Oreal super liner perfect slim
  • Clinque bottom lash mascara
  • Body shop clear brow and lash gel
  • Body shop lip and cheek stain
  • Maybelliene 24hr colour tattoo in on and on bronze

For some of you this would be extreme but for me this is just the right amount. What makeup would you take on holiday with you?

Why Do You Wear Make-Up Tag

Picture from Tumblr
I saw this post on Sisters Who Shop blog and absolutely love the idea of this tag.

When did you begin loving make-up?

I first began to wear make up when I was about 12 and I have horrific make up stories where I look back and think what was I thinking like wearing bright blue liquid eyeliner around my eye or the days when I just wore white eyeshadow on its own! Oh dear. Not something I like to look back on, but over the years I began to become more fond of make up and liked the idea of expanding my collection. I used to ask for makeup for my birthdays and Christmas and used to love receiving them and would get so excited to try them out! I then discovered YouTube when I was about 15 and blog posts about make up and that was when I really got into it!

How do you feel without make-up?

For me I don't mind not wearing make-up depending on where I am going and I love the fresh faced feeling. I wouldn't dream of going out to town without wearing makeup as I people often comment that I look tired when I don't wear it, but most of the time I don't wear it to work or college purely for the reason that I like to give my skin a break!

What do you like about make-up?

I love that you can change the whole face by adding make up, it can make you look slimmer by adding a bit of bronzer in the places that you would change in a heartbeat and look more awake just by adding concealer. It can cover your imperfections that makes you a bit self conscious and can make you feel so much more confident.

Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips Review

As having heard about these everywhere I thought I would cave in and give them a try as the blocked pores on my nose were really starting to bother me. I picked these up in boots for £7.99 which at the time I thought was quite a good price for something that was potentially going to unblock my pores.

As soon as I got home I couldn't wait to try them out. Having applied the strip and waiting 15 minutes for it to set I was almost excited to pull it off to see what would come out and I was really disappointed. Maybe it just didn't work for me but nothing from my nose was removed which disappointed me as I really loved the concept of them.

I have before tried a homemade version of these which is using just eggs whites and tissue paper and waiting for it to set just the same and I found it was just as effective if not more without having to spend the money.

On a whole I loved the idea of these and thought that I would love them but after being disappointed I probably wouldn't repurchase them as I don't think it was worth it.

What are your thoughts on this product?

Empties | Products I Used Up

Hello guys, hope you're all well. Today's post is going to be all the products I have used up recently and a mini review on them!

Body Shop Vitamin C skin reviver £14.00

Now I have had this product for absolutely ages, I would even go as far to say I have had it hanging about for a year and they've even got new packaging for this product now. I recently dipped into the draw where I shove bits of skin care I don't use and found this and I had been loving it, its a serum not a cream but makes my skin feel amazing and leaves your skin feeling silky! This is a great primer as well as it isn't oily whatsoever! I am definitely repurchasing this product.

Olay essentials conditioning milk £2.99

This was an okay cleanser it definitely wasn't nothing special. If you read my last blog post you would have seen that I mentioned this and said that it was a bit to heavy for me, personally I prefer using lighter cleansers. This product did the job but there are a million other different cleansers that do just the same thing so I probably wouldn't repurchase purely for the fact that I would like a lighter one.

Olay essentials beauty fluid £5.99

Not all bad on the Olay front as I really enjoy this moisturiser, this is my third or fourth bottle of this and I do love it. It has that typical Olay scent if you get what I mean which I'm not a major fan of as I prefer not scented moisturisers but its not unbearable and does smell fresh. This really does a good job in keeping my skin moisturised and hydrated and keeps me away from them dreaded dry patches.

Clarins water comfort one step cleanser £19.50

I had the sample size of this cleanser which is an amazing sample size! This definitely left my skin feeling fresh and clean although again I wasn't a fan of the peach smell as it is quite strong. I wouldn't repurchase this product as for nearly twenty pounds in my opinion it wasn't worth it and you could buy a cheaper drugstore alternative.

Teeny Tiny Boots Haul

Hi ladies! So a couple of days ago I popped into boots as I was in desperate need of a new cleanser and toner. Now if you are anything like me you go in the shop and come out again with a billion other things aswell as boots is definitely a place I could spend hours in but the this time I restrained myself and only picked up one thing I didn't actually need!

 Simple Cleanser and Toner

So after using the Olay cleanser and toner for a ages I decided to switch it up a bit as I felt the cleanser was a bit to heavy because when I cleanse I prefer having a lighter cleanser. Seeing that these were 2 for £4 and hearing a lot about simple as a brand I thought this was the perfect time to pick them up! My skin has been going crazy this past month so when I saw that it said 'sensitive skin experts' I was sold, I have to say I have been really enjoying using both these products and can see them becoming a firm staple in my skincare routine!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

After hearing everyone and their mother talk about this product and wanting it for so long I thought it was about time I picked it up, I got it in the colour big bang as I love my bold lip colours I'm excited to try this out as I haven't yet, although I am not a massive fan of the smell of it but hey ho! In my opinion it smells just like the YSL glossy stains which I love so its definitely something I can live with.

Zara Office City Bag

I finally took a trip to Westfields Stratford on monday with my mum after wishing I could go for ages. I don't know why I didn't go before as it isn't particularly far from me. We went shopping, out for dinner and to the cinema to see hangover part three and even had the pleasure of sitting in front of Joey Essex, Arg, Tom Pearce and Diags, which was very strange!

After lusting over this bag since it came out but not being able to get my hands on it when I walked into Zara and saw it right in front of me I just had to pick it up. I didn't know they still sold it so when I saw it I literally ran to it! I know a bit sad.

Even though its early days I am in love with this bag completely and have no complaints about it as of yet. Is it weird to call a bag classy? Because it definitely is. I always thought it was a lot more expensive than it was and when I saw the price tag I instantly thought it was worth it as it is such a timeless bag that wont go out of fashion and goes with absolutely everything!

I love how it has different compartments and cant wait to use this as my hand luggage bag when I go on holiday as its perfect because it has an iPad/tablet holder and also a laptop holder which is great for travel or as it says an office worker!

The gold hardware is great and I love the maroon interior. Overall I am so impressed with this bag as its sturdy and in my opinion looks a lot more expensive than it really is!

Hope you all enjoy your day

My MAC Lipstick Collection

Hello everyone! Today's post is my MAC lipstick collection! Now there isn't a lot, six to be precise but I love these little gems (some more than others) and these are the ones I have accumulated.

MAC red,
Up the Amp, Girl About Town, Costa Chic, Vegas Volt and Creme Cup

MAC Red

I love this colour and its a beautiful classic red colour, I love wearing a red lip and this one is perfect. As a lip junkie I have tried out so many red lipsticks and the worse one being beautyUk which was probably why it was so cheap. I love that this doesnt smear or slide around on the lip as I like to say (not literally!) It is a satin finish so it isn't completely matte and isn't too drying on the lips!

Costa Chic

This is my least favourite one out of my collection! It is a frost finish and I don't really like that whole frost look on the lips. I brought this online so I didn't even look at the colour properly and when I got it, it was not what I expected. I do wear this on occasion but not very often, its a great holiday colour as it looks beautiful with a tan and it also has blue undertones so it makes your teeth look whiter! Always a good thing!

Up The Amp

This is a solid favourite in my collection! I purchased this one back in the winter as I wasn't feeling brave enough to go completely dark like MACs diva or media so I felt like this was a good alternative as its still quite vampy but can also be wore all through the year! It is an amplified finish which is in my opinion the best finish!

 Creme Cup

As you all know this has recently become up there with my best lippy as it was in my may favourites! As I said I wasn't sure if I was the girl who could rock a nude lipstick but I have come to realise as long as its the right shade of nude anyone can sport a nude lip and this one is mine! It is a cremesheen so its super hydrating on the lips but it also means that it doesn't last extremely long which is the only downside!

Girl About Town

I wore this lipstick constantly last summer and it is the definition of a bold lip! Even when you go to take this lipstick off it stains, this one really doesn't come off. Which is good for when your out and don't want to reapply but not so good when you taking your make up off trying to get this off! Its an amplified finish which again is my favourite and I cant wait to wear this again!

Vegas Volt

I will admit, I can't really say much about this product because I haven't really worn it, but I absolutely love the colour of this lipstick and the fact that again its an amplified finish! This would look perfect in the summer with a tan and I cant wait to wear it when I go on holiday!

So they are all my MAC lippys! Not a very impressive collection by all means but its short and sweet I suppose! Im sorry for the overuse of the word favourite I didnt quite realise till I re read it! What are your favourite MAC lippys?

Would You Rather? Beauty Tag

So I saw this tag on Pretty Little Doodahs and rainbows and beauty blogs and as I enjoyed reading it I decided that it would be fun to do for today's post.

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

Oh god, So I am a girl who loves my palettes and eyeshadows as I love creating different looks but I feel like you wouldn't really tend to wear eyeshadow without mascara (Unless you're into that). I also feel like I look too bare without mascara and something on the lips so I would definitely lose my palettes and eyeshadows.

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Ahh! This one is so hard, I think it would have to be never be able to cut my hair again as you can still do things with it like up-dos and it still is versatile. I would look so manly without hair and it just wouldn't be a good look for me so even though not being able to cut it would result in it looking ratty/scraggly its a sacrifice I would make.

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Definitely would have to say a coral cheek as all my favourite blushes are coral and I don't think I could live without them (I know that sounds sad).

If you had £1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

I'm aware this may sound a little cray, but having a £1000 to spend on makeup would be amazing! I would definitely have to say make up, although it is a tough one because you could get so many amazing clothes with £1000 and maybe it would stop my "I have nothing to wear" strop every time I go out.

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

Oh dear, lipstick as eyeliner? That sounds like my worst nightmare. Not even for just how it looks but for how it would feel. I would definitely go with eyeliner as lipstick, I'm sure I wouldn't be able to pull it off but I could not apply lipstick around my eyes as eyeliner!

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Sadly we don't have Sephora in the UK so I have never even entered the store, although I have heard a lot about it as a shop I would have to say only shop at MAC as I dont know what Sephora is like!

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?

Lips are my favourite thing about doing my make up so purely for that reason I would have to say only use one lip product for the rest of my life.

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

This one isn't that tough as in England when summer rolls around it rarely gets scorching hot and there is nothing worse than being freezing cold!  So I would wear winter clothes in the summer.

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?

This is shameful to admit but I don't wear nail polish! As a nail picker (I know, AWFUL habit) I don't wear it but if I had to choose it would be bright nails all year round.

Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?

I know I said lips is my favourite part of my makeup but as mascara is my favourite eye product and I have already said I would look bare without it, I would have to give up my favourite lip product.

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?

I always wear my hair in a pony tail all the time, and I feel like they are very versatile you can have a high pony tail, a messy pony tail, a classy sleek pony tail, really the possibilities are kind of endless! I rarely wear my hair in a messy bun so I would rather only be able to wear it in a ponytail!

Would you rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

This one is easy as because from what I said earlier I don't paint my nails!

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?

This one is truly horrific! Id say that having no eyebrow at all is worse so although it pains me to say I would have to sharpie them in everyday! I suppose you could kind of be alright if you used it with a very light hand hah!

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

Like before this one is so so so easy for me and I would rather live without nail polish!

So I hope you enjoyed this tag! What would you rather?
